wasteof is realistically just a really closed community and if you happen to talk about one of the 4 things they talk about there people might actually like you -
The way wasteof was designed makes it really hard to have an opinion, the website was designed both in a great way (easy to use) and in a terrible way (no blocking, bans are public, you can’t do anything if someone is harassing you, rules kinda unclear, moderation is questionable and rushed, you can’t even remove followers for goodness’ sake)
Because of that, the community has adapted to being more prone to burn into a flame war than a bottle of petrol -
prone to burn into a flame war because as soon as anything is mentioned there's somehow someone that has an issue with it and causes a conflict -
many of the members of the community come from scratch
which we all know, is a wild and chaotic place
