It appals me that some people are trying to milk darlenne's success in order to facilitate getting darlene in the lead

yeah lots of people wanted to have their names win -
-
it's not even that representative of what the population wants as it isn't limited to darlenne/darlene voters
anyone can vote in it -
no it isn't because it's not a decisive split between darlenne voters whether darlenne or darlene should be the name
it's more like a tiebreaker poll made for a situation where there was no tie -
bruh just vote other (although paradock does need to increase poll limits to like 16)
-
I think paradock stated if darlenne wins, whichever of darlenne/darlene is more popular will become the name, not necessarily darlenne itself -
then they SHOULD HAVE VOTED DARLENE NOT DARLENNE
if darlenne wins, the baby will be called darlenne. if darlene, WHICH IS IN "OTHER", wins, the baby will be called darlene. if paradette wins because darlenne voters switch to darlene, which is located at other and not darlenne in the official poll, then so be it! -
why do you want darlenne so much it's literally adding an extra n for no valid reason -
tl;dr if you vote darlenne you get darlenne, if you wanted darlene go vote for darlene in other.
if this makes paradette win idc it's a democracy these are the rules
your poll isn't representative of what others want (e.g. qxva prefers darlene over darlenne but still voted paradette).
using darlenne's current win as darlene propaganda isn't good -
i could ask you "why do you want joanne so much it's literally got barely no resemblance to juan"
it's just a name i find nice that's all -
it is, its the opinionn of every darflenn user,
even if darlene doesn't winn we're still going to call them darlene because the extra nn is unnnecessary
also you ripped off the name from which himself wants the original to be used -
the difference is a single letter that isn't even pronounced, that's not a fair comparison in the slightest -
1. i pronounce the letter differently
2. darlene isn't even copyrighted what 😭😭
3. if the letter n isn't even pronounced for you why do you care so much? it's literally just a letter. -
1. how????
2. I never said anything about copyright that's an exaggeration
3. simplicity and universal prononciation -
1. darlene = "dar lean" darlenne = "dar len" (len as in "length"
2. ok
3. if it makes you happier just call darlenne darlene if darlenne wins since it's pronounced the same (but the official name will still be darlenne) -
1. that's because of french but think about the Japanese on the website, adding an extra n could confuse -
It's how Paradock said it works
If darlenne is what democracy is I want the cooler democracy -
no it isn't darlene is in other darlenne is in darlenne these are separate options -
direct translations would return "darlene" and also the pronunciation will be even more confusing for Japanese
English is already not very phonetic when written but darlene is the closest we have to perfection -
as i proposed before: if it makes your phonetics dilemma better, the official name would be darlenne but it can be written as darlene for ... japanese or idk -
I think you're misreading what I'm saying. Paradock has specifically said this is how it's going to go. I don't remember where, but it has been explicitly stated. -
that's ridiculous you can't rename a category because a couple of people complained if you want darlene vote other
