there were temporary meower alternatives after that, one on a darflen community (%meower) for a day, and soktdeer by Cole which is still operating today -
it was a chatroom site that originally started as a safe social media on scratch, but then as time went on, scratch's rules on chatrooms strictened and meower got tired of scratch's limits. so then it went from being a safe highly restricted social media, to a normal chatroom with features like dms, while still having the primary userbase be 12-15 year olds. it didn't go well -
