my current interest is this oddball media format from the early 1980s that stored video using technology similar to that of vinyl records.
it only lasted for 5-ish years before getting basically pushed out of the market by vhs and (possibly) laserdisc.

i have no intention of ever getting one - my dvd player and kodi setup works perfectly fine lol
