I went exploring my university's grounds today. Almost half of it is tropical jungle, probably for biology students to do reasearch.
What I found interesting is that the flora is mostly the same as other jungles I've been in. It's surprising because the climate is noticeably colder in that area. I also saw a sign to watch out for monkeys, although I couldn't spot any.
I never expected there to be monkeys at the University of Costa Rica.

I know people who will die defending them. I, personally, just don't see it. They are really fragile and it's too much a hassle going out of your way to buy lead replacements when it's even easier to simply get a new pencil.
There's also the fact that any lead other than 2B, H or F is kind of hard to find. And then switching leads around is stupid. Sometimes a certain one needs a different pencil, plus the time it takes to disassemble the pencil to do the switch itself, could be avoided by just using normal pencils. And then, carrying lead containers around (because you have to, otherwise they get lost or broken) simply beats the whole point of increased portability compared to a set of wood pencils.
All of this makes them pointless in my opinion.

i really hope youtube cancels that stupid ass ai age detection thing they're planning on doing

for those who don't know (rant incoming): youtube is planning on releasing an ai system for users in the us that just. decides what age you are based on what you watch
which is absolute bullshit and will probably mislabel pretty much any neurodivergent person as a baby (as ive heard some people say). which is seriously worrying for many users and i think i'm gonna straight up boycott youtube when it happens, if it even (hopefully not) does. (unrelated but darflen's character limit is very high, thanks i need this space to rant) i'm really fucking disappointed with this and i seriously don't know what ill do

in conclusion: ai can go fuck itself, i hate this pure bullshit disguised as "protecting the kids" (which should be UP TO THE PARENTS), if i got anything wrong let me know, and lastly watch bob's burgers (it's peak)
