My parents are getting old and I don't have the heart to tell them they're wrong about so many things.
Just now my dad showed me this video on Facebook of one of those light balls that supposedly appear after lightning strikes. It was so obviously AI and he was so amazed and laughing at the comments and all and I was just sitting there laughing awkwardly with him thinking to myself "This is one of the smartest people I know, so many careers and experience and he can't tell?".
I'm worried about them, people, cause my mom isn't much better...
Edit: She just asked me how she could make her phone screen brighter past the maximum brightness. I think it's time to have a conversation with them.

I'd like to introduce a concept named "bullshit".
It always inevitably happens, and it usually multiplies the time it takes to perform a task by φ, which I apply in practice by rounding to 1.7, though it increases or decreases proportionally to the importance and base duration of the task.
