My parents are getting old and I don't have the heart to tell them they're wrong about so many things.
Just now my dad showed me this video on Facebook of one of those light balls that supposedly appear after lightning strikes. It was so obviously AI and he was so amazed and laughing at the comments and all and I was just sitting there laughing awkwardly with him thinking to myself "This is one of the smartest people I know, so many careers and experience and he can't tell?".
I'm worried about them, people, cause my mom isn't much better...
Edit: She just asked me how she could make her phone screen brighter past the maximum brightness. I think it's time to have a conversation with them.

jinx 1 day agoAI is so new and they didn't grow up with the internet, just let them know that the content is AI generated and tell them how you noticed. they'll adapt to our new digital reality eventually 😹
