MFs must feel crazy tuff when they see a compelling argument which they completely refuse to listen to and then comment "Christ is King" without elaborating further.
Talk about brainwashed. It's not even funny, it's scary.

another reminder that someone's passional nature can not be easily changed with words, maybe it's a good thing that we all don't think the same
if they truly believe in their hearts of hearts that God exists, no argument will make them stop believing that fact
let me give you an example, Pascal's wager
If you believe in God and it turns out that god is real, you win a lot (paradise!!!!)
If you believe that God exists and it turns out that he doesn't exist, then you lose very little
does this argument even speak to you? it does make sense practically but even if you wanted to follow this wager then you would probably still not believe in the existence of god for real
you can't really control your nature and it's hard for it to change with persuasion. i don't think Christian people have an harmful nature so what's the point of attempting to change it? it doesn't say anything about how agreeable a person is (and how easy it is for them to change their minds)
While I do agree that Christians, or most religious people at that don't have a harmful nature, I can't bear it in my conscience to live surrounded by the brainwashed and not even try to do anything about it.
At least I am very logical and fully willing to change my beliefs in the face of irrefutable evidence or a very solid argument. Every religion I know has failed to provide that for me, yes, but that doesn't mean I CAN'T ever be convinced.
and that aside it's about Christianity which isn't that much time consuming or whatever and might even make your life better through community and good habits either way? But just imagine a fictional religion that has basically no cost and it's the same
when will you understand that beliefs aren't inherently logical, in this case passional nature can definitely overshadow "logic"
maybe you think you can change your beliefs regarding the existence of god but that's simply not true, as there is no logical argument that proves god. What actually is happening is that you probably are on the skeptical side and you ended up not believing in god as a consequence. but there's people who don't require logic or scientific evidence to believe something, they aren't skeptical
yet it can still be rational to believe, because it can definitely bring you better outcomes
Not being skeptical is also an objectively bad way to seek any truth. So maybe that's something that non skepticals should work on and shouldn't be just accepted as a quirk of their personality.
