Why doesn't anyone capitalize the first letter of the first word of their sentences?

Don't forget to capitalize the first letter of the first word of your sentence and the almighty punctuation mark! Punctuation marks can tell the reader when to slow down, speed up and stop. By breaking up your sentences, they contain and structure your ideas.
Use a comma to create a pause, to separate ideas in that sentence.
Use a semi-colon to create a break, but recognises connection of ideas
Use a colon to connect two sentences thematically
Use a full stop to create the end of that sentence.
Use an apostrophe to indicate ownership or missing letters/numbers.

Abbreviations should only be used if the organization or term appears two or more times in the text. Spell out the full term at its first mention, indicate its abbreviation in parenthesis and use the abbreviation from then on, with the exception of acronyms that would be familiar to most readers, such as MCC and USAID.

Correction Correction: Technically, it would be "What is this, The Phantom Tollbooth?" Since it is a book.
