Vote: Ban Hydrogen Hydroxide from the reservoirs.
Hydrogen hydroxide, also called hydric acid, hydroxyl acid, hydrogen oxide, and dihydrogen monoxide, is a potentially lethal chemical commonly found in large amounts in reservoirs. Hydrogen hydroxide can cause suffocation, accelerates the oxidization of metals like iron, erodes away at land, causes the failure of many electrical components and devices, and is a heavy contributor to the greenhouse effect that is increasing the temperature of our climate. Despite these risks, hydrogen hydroxide is commonly used as an industrial solvent, used as a coolant in nuclear power plants, used as a flame retardant, and used as an additive to unhealthy foods. Hydrogen hydroxide is responsible for upwards of 4000 deaths per year, with an average of 10 deaths per day. Please, help us ban this horrid chemical from our reservoirs, and help us create a safer environment for everyone!
