the "loving" god that the bible describes sounds much more evil than kind

this sounds a lot less philosophical when it's read right after a Buenianz post

genuinely though, I understand how you or other people would think that. but from experience I can tell you that most of the time it's your mindset. we think that humans are like the most important, that God if he is loving should be kind to us, but its insane that He does love us as much as he does which is more than we deserve. just like think about a dog. it's owner loves it but isn't going to let it bite him or other dogs or run away or pull on the leash. the dog doesnt understand. it just wants to play or have food. but if the owner let the dog do whatever it wanted it wouldn't be a very loving owner. so you might say, "why does God let war happen and horrible things happen and why does God punish his people if he loves them" but like if we were dogs I don't think we're going to understand God's logic. you don't expect a dog to understand rocket science but there have still been dogs in space. it's in no way the dog's achievement. we don't see everything the way God does but we think we do like a dog who wants to eat chocolate because it smells good and its owner doesnt let it.

but I guess every dog hates leashes.

He had the power to make us righteous as himself but CHOSE to make us inferior and then holds us accountable for it. That is evil.

I really don't want to argue with you.
what I believe is that He gave us free will to choose and humans chose to go against what He wanted, e.g. what is right.

is it evil to give someone a choice?

He MADE us imperfect AND gave us free will. Could've also made us perfect and given us free will.
