Someone said that according to Bible descriptions of heaven they would need a lobotomy to be even remotely happy there.
After looking into it deeper, I absolutely agree. That stuff sounds pretty bad and creepy.

ok actually, I am quite curious, what were the descriptions did the person told you

Well, I actually researched on my own. But you know the usual eternal singing, worship, and happiness and a lot of materialistic things that seem kind of pointless for what heaven is supposed to be (e.g. Streets paved with gold and mansions for everybody). And (this is quite disagreed upon, apparently) either not recognizing anyone from your earthly life, or not caring about what happened to your loved ones who didn't go to heaven.

I agree with what you said about the materialistic things in heaven people are supposed to love for eternity. Based on what I seen, heaven is meant to be a place of "no more", basically no more things that people don't want to happen... But how do you do that forever? At one point everything materialistic would become uninteresting, right? Like are our interests, hobbies or liking permanent in heaven? In reality it doesn't seem to be the case when observing other people... Some people gain new interests, some loose them. But there aren't an infinity of interests and hobbies... At one point, everyone will run out of interests to do. And this makes me think if we are really ourselves in heaven or just mere perfect facades of ourselves? You said on your post "they would need a lobotomy to be even remotely happy there" well that's probably an answer for eternal joy...

With further research after everything above: some interpretations from believers says that heaven is actually temporary. A waiting zone when god will create a brand new earth where eternal joy happens... Feels like heaven to me... But after that earth gets created, will it solves all the problems above?

Okok, I actually need way more research to do to answer this, everything above in this text can still get disproved in a way that I lack comprehension.

but take my opinion with a grain of salt I'm just a sunflower
