      OK, the basic idea is that your first things to do are the "daily tasks" on your profile (most people shorten to "dailies"). there are 6 but the 6th one is currently not added. if you can't complete the luncheon it means you need to craft a campfire. considering you're a new player you're probably going to need campfire crafting things, so I'll send those along for you

      nvm it's called a bonfire. when you accept the gifts, go to the village activities -> crafting workshops and click on the "builder" tab and search bonfire. then craft one.

      No I don’t need anything specific, and yeah noodles explained the bonfire to me (but my cat automatically crafted something and it said I couldn’t craft until tomorrow, which is now today)

      basically you have a village of cats and you dress them up, send them in battles, check the mail, make them interact, become rich, waste your money, and chill out with the community while on the cutest website ever because it has an adorable pixel artstyle. just browse around while not logged in to have a look.
      but it is quite a complex game, so you need to put in a lot of effort to get far in PCE

      yeah, I can totally understand that, but if you want to be a casual player and you don't want to 100% PCE, you can also do that too. you're not even required to check on the website daily (the dailies are just there to complete if you want) and the nestor meeting grounds drops are designed to give you at least 1 cat a week if you don't want to be a full time player. completing the dailies takes about 10 minutes for a full village, and less for a smaller village, so if you want to join you don't have to spend your life on pce

      cheese is being hyperbolic about the effort


      all you really need to do is log in, do your dailies which takes a couple of minutes, and then you're good

      it's a slow paced and chill game, not the dark souls of cat games
