new me, new not-me.

(context is the attached image in case all this text is in the way of you seeing said image)

"new me" as in i started using a different character to fully represent me not too long ago, and thus "new not-me" would be the not-cat version of him.

"new not-me" as in this is an entirely different cat from my former not-me. except he is still technically A not-me, just not THE not-me. that would be because former character-used-to-fully-represent-me does still represent me, but is essentially just a self-insert in a show my brother made now, and thus for the same reason i switched him out with my current character-used-to-fully-represent-me, i do not want former not-me being the guy that represents me. which is also the same reason for me switching former not-me out with current not-me. Obviously.

former not-me, who we'll call blue cyn for simplicity, is very much canon-divergent, as are the shockingly vast majority of my oc fancats. current not-me, who we'll call cyn or stardust, is not canon-divergent — YET. this would be because actual stardust, as in the not-not-cat who is my main sona, does not have a canon plotline to him, which is very much intentional. IF and ONLY IF not-cat cyn gets some lore out of nowhere, will he be considered canon-divergent.

i over-elaborated. cyn over-elaboration (DARFLEN EDITION) count is now one. look forward to this number increasing in the near future.

if any of this is confusing to understand due to my over-elaboration, which would be ironic since the entire point of me over-elaborating is to make things more Understandable, please tell me what exactly confused you and i will try again to elaborate. hopefully not overly so.

okay but it would be so much easier if there was a way to put images between lines of text and not just at the end of a post. unless there is a way and i just don't know it, in which case please tell me

There is one but it's kind of weird, you have to upload it in a separate post/comment before you can reuse it in another post. Most convenient way I can think of would be:
    0. (I put this at step 0 because you only have to do it once) Make a private post (or you could make it public if you want to, who cares) and bookmark it, it'll be the image uploading post
    1. When you want to use an image, make a comment on the image uploading post containing the image
    2. Click on the image (the image before clicking a lower-quality thumbnail, you'll get the full quality image by clicking on it), then right click and copy the link to the image
    3. Place this thingy into your post where the image would be: ![alt text](link to image)
For example, I have this image uploaded at https://darflen.com/posts/539a2ca7287e6cdf8964197b and that allows me to re-use it here:
An image illustrating the difference between the heroic Goombella and the villainois Wanawanaa.
This also allows you to put images in your profile about me thing, as well as in community descriptions.
This also works with audio and video for some reason, though audio is more difficult because it's harder to get the link.
