1. Netherite CAN'T be at position 2 (must be 7 or 5), so it must be Emerald.
2. Lapis must be neighbored by both Copper and Iron. I'll call it and its two neighbors the Lapis cluster.

  3. Lapis cannot be at 6, as then the Lapis cluster covers both 5 and 7, preventing Netherite from being placed. A similar deduction can be made with Lapis at 5 using Purpur and Redstone. Lapis also cannot be at 7 because then position 8 is covered. Therefore, Lapis is at position 4.
  4. Copper must be at position 3 due to the Lapis cluster, meaning Iron is at position 5.
  5. Diamond is at position 1.
  6. Purpur is at position 8, since 4 is covered.
  7. Redstone is at position 6.
  8. Netherite is at position 7. Is that all of them yet?
