In the SCP-1425 article itself, book advertised (truthfully) as teaching you how to warp reality, but created by a cult so of course it also simultaneously reprograms your mind and by the end you're pretty likely to be afflicted with whatever "Ojai Syndrome" is. Its story takes place in 2005. In the context where I first heard of it (There Is No Antimemetics Division and Five Five Five Five Five), the book's not the only way SCP-1425's ideas are transferred, with there being a notable outbreak before (in 1951) and after (in 2012). And then possibly some connection to SCP-3125, which is its own thing to describe? Doesn't matter, I'm 99% sure I would fall for its ideas either way.
