fact
An Oreo should not be dunked in milk for more than four seconds. Along with Chips Ahoy cookies, Nutter Butters, and Graham Crackers, the four brands of biscuits were tested at the Splash Lab in the Utah State University by dunking one half of them in milk and recording the saturation of milk absorbed by the cookie. Observing the weight of each tested cookie, the first 80 percent of the liquid was soaked up within one to two seconds. The cookies all had been steeped entirely in the milk to its capacity within five seconds. Submerging the cookies for a longer duration will only cause them to become more disintegrative.
