finally we have moderators other than paradock

I have no doubt that moderation will improve and reports will be actually read if your username isn't @cheesewhisk3rs

let's hope paradock calms down on moderating according to off platform behavior

      because the terms of service are left ambiguous and currently moderating for off platform behavior is just taking advantage of a gray zone where nobody really knows the real distinction between inappropriate and appropriate behavior on other platforms

      "Threatens the safety or well-being of others."

      could well be interpreted as something like insulting someone even if it's playful

      or something more intense like doxxing and that would actually threaten their safety

      the off platform stuff is probably more of a fix to situations where you can't be sure, but it doesn't necessarily work well :/

      and as for that example, yeah just give pardoc the way you'd word it and he'll probably change it

      Basically meaning, if it's not on Darflen, it doesn't matter.

      Eg; I say inhumaine things to Jinx on discord, I wouldn't get banned unless it got dragged to Darflen.

      And why? It just makes sense. Why ban somebody unless they're causing an issue on the real platform.

      that rule was mostly added to give reason to ban users who boast about account hacking on darflen, as it isn't technically against the rules to say that you got a -7 million year old Scratch account by hacking it. the TOS makes it possible to deal with those kinds of people, but considering events breaking this prior to the change aren't worth moderating, it wasn't even enough to ban qxva, who hacked way too many users.

      the biggest issue that I know of, which I didn't tell anyone because I wanted to have time to think of an improvement, is that there is sometimes lack of verifiability. no admin permissions on wo.m? can't check if qxva hacked it! etc. although he does make it really obvious, some issues arise, leaving loopholes where users can be banned without good reason. that hasn't happened yet though, but it needs addressing.

      because off site behaviour such as your drama on discord almost shattered the darflen community. it does have an effect.
