A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11 AM through 7 PM CDT for all of southeast Missouri, and generally to the west of the Interstate 57 corridor in southern Illinois, where a high fire danger will develop this afternoon. Elsewhere, it will still be dry and breezy leading to an elevated fire danger. See the Special Weather Statement for details outside of the warning area.
In addition, south to southwest winds throughout the Quad State will gust 25 to 35 mph at times this afternoon.
