with the big spread of modern LLMs since a few years, a lot of people has been using them as a friend. some of them becomes so connected with those computers that they become psychotics and do things they would never do without it.

at the same time, there's a lot of progress in the brain-computer interfaces field which can help people with disabilities in the future or even cybernetically enhance ourselves... I wonder if in a few years or decades, when those enhancements becomes a real possibility for everyone, will they be the next victims of AI psychosis? will it be just like in Cyberpunk 2077 where many people with those enhancements becomes crazy people?

I don't think LLMs or those things would disappears in the medium term, it's probably going to repeat how microcomputers or the internet became mainstream (with all the early skepticism), just way way faster than at that time...
