Aesthetics old vs new

in the occidental world, during the last few years, there were a new wave of popularity for leaders or big people more axed into the right and far right populism

if you search this online, you can probably find people like donald trump, javier milei or elon musk fitting into this category

you also probably know that symbolism is a powerful tool to convey people opinions and ideas. this method of propagating ideas and believes has been used a lot of time in history in many groups

for those people I've shown, their idea can be described as the yellow "don't step on me" snake, the chainsaw, mass-produced AI generated pictures and more

some people call them modern "fascism"

but the modern aesthetics of this ideology straight up just feel sad compared to the old 20th century "fascism" symbols which is more fearful

what happened? why does today "right populism" feel so weak and the past one not so weak... where's the aura farming of the past fascism and why did they lost that today?
