Help get Compressor on Google Play!

Compressor is almost available on Google Play, but to do so, Google requires that we have at least 12 testers for 14 days. If you want to see Compressor on Google Play, head to to join the testing group and install!

Every. Single. Video Compression app on the play store SUCKS, which is why I created Compressor!

- Faster than every single compression app on the Play Store. Period.

- Uses native Media3 API, not another slow, bulky FFMpeg wrapper

- No third party libraries

- No invasive permissions (no storage, no internet etc)

- Ad free

- Super lightweight (< 10MB)

- Completely native Kotlin (no React Native slop here)

- Works on Android 7.0 and up

Compared to the first non-sponsored search result for “video compressor” on the Play Store, Panda Video Compressor, with over 10 million downloads, Compressor is 117x faster. When tested on my Pixel 8 Pro compressing a 200MB 4K video down to 1080p30 with the Medium preset in both apps, Compressor took only 11 seconds, Panda took almost 22 minutes.

Furthermore, using the highly optimised native Media3 API, Compressor is able to compress that same 200MB video down to just 2.2MB at 720p30, with virtually no difference in quality on a 6” phone screen.

I don’t currently have $25 USD to sign up for a Google Play Console account, so you can get Compressor completely free from GitHub releases (or build it yourself with Android Studio) at

Update: I've reached over $25 in donations thanks to and@toaks (don't know if they have Darflen accounts but they are on wasteof!) so once Buy me a coffee pays out in 1-2 weeks, I'll sign up for a Google Play Console account and publish Compressor to the Play Store!

Someone sent me this screenshot so time to address the address from (who still has me blocked)

1. Blaze was not compromised, this was publicly accessible information once again
2. Nope, once again, that was an unsecured endpoint, available without logging in just like the IP addresses
3. I never said Kyle tried to leak user IPs, I said there are other people out there who would (I can name 3)
4. I'm not bragging about doing this, I was trying to get your attention, which leads us onto

6. I didn't brag about it once again, and I didn't exploit anything, only accessed public information
