hello everyone

i saw people taking a dislike to the embed darflen links, as they include extra text instead of just the post content
i decided to make an url that shows the post content, includes date, and has a like/comment counter
profiles are also supported

you can use it by replacing .com with .xyz on darflen post and user links

i have created a confectionery concept
pretty sure it likely exists but i cant really find it

inner core is a fudge-like consistency, primarily caramel, contains liquorice root extract, vanilla extract, sea salt
outer core is a milk chocolate shell, similar to a snickers bar

i wanna try making it, to see if it would actually be good or not..

i have read 48 pages of gödel, escher, bach last night
i was up until 01:00! i kept saying “one more page,” but i just couldn’t stop myself

i love the way Hofstadter writes in this book. it doesn’t feel clinical or cold compared to other books of this sort. it feels like he is a friend directly speaking to me about his interests
i didn’t try any of the puzzles (such as the mu puzzle) unfortunately - mostly because i was too tired to solve them

the book also introduced me to concepts i hadn’t yet known about, such as fugues and strange loops
it also made me think about some stuff, such as how babbage would have reacted seeing 2025 (most likely, he wouldnt have expected technology to progress this fast)

possibly becoming my favourite book..
it’s that, or the three christs of ypsilanti…
